A lot of Newcastle United fans have responded to a tweet from NUFC 360 claiming that Newcastle are interested in signing Celtic’s Odsonne Edouard.
The tweet cites the Daily Star as the source, and they claim that the Frenchman has emerged as the Toon’s top striker target and that Celtic would struggle to resist a bid of
£30m.
This has drawn a reaction from these Toon fans who don’t think they will be signing Edouard.
#NUFC have identified Celtic 's Odsonne Edouard as the striker to solve their goalscoring problems. Steve Bruce has held a series of video meetings with the club's transfer team in the past few weeks. Celtic would struggle to turn down a £30M bid for him. [Daily Star]

Not a chance we’d ever get Edouard. Not to mention the 40 million pound man that is sure to be an issue in the summer, I’d think

Other Newcastle supporters think that he would be a good signing.
If true I like it but many top teams will be looking at him.

Tell ya what that would be a cracking signing

Superb player. I would eat my half if he went outside a top 6/8 prem team or a top french side.

What do we think?
Edouard has scored 27 goals this season in all competitions and has also drawn the attention of Everton and Lyon.
Do you want Edouard at Newcastle?
Yes
No
If the Toon want him, we would think they would have to act fast to ensure they got him.
Since joining the Bhoys from PSG, after an initial loan spell, Edouard has scored 60 goals, including ten in European competitions – so he has proven capable of scoring against good opposition.
Newcastle have just one goal from their strikers this season (Joelinton, Andy Carroll, Dwight Gayle and Yoshinori Muto) – so we think a move for Edouard could improve their strikeforce.
