Fans of Manchester City have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports that Bayern Munich will once again bid for City winger Leroy Sane over the summer transfer window.

According to reports in German publication SportBild (via the Mirror), Sane’s representatives met with Bayern Munich’s sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic ahead of a planned summer move for the City winger.

Manchester City achieved what was then their best ever Premier League finish in the 2009/10 season. What position did they finish?

In reaction to the reports, which were relayed by Man City Xtra on Twitter, fans of the club flocked to have their say on the matter, with many stating their belief that it would take a huge offer from Bayern for City to accept a bid, while others have claimed that if the player doesn’t want to stay at the club then they should sell him.

What do we think?

Although Sane has only featured once this season, in City’s victory over Liverpool in the Community Shield back in August, before suffering his ACL injury, it appears that Bayern have retained their interest in Sane from last summer.

Originally, Bayern’s interest in the 24-year-old came following a remarkable 2018/19 season by the £90million-rated Sane, in which the German international scored 10 goals and provided 10 assists in his 31 Premier League fixtures, as well as a further four goals and assists in his eight Champions League appearances.

However, with Manchester City facing a two-year ban from European competition, it would appear unlikely that Pep Guardiola would be willing to let one of his brightest talents go.
