Fans of Manchester City have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports that Leeds United are interested in taking new City signing Yan Couto on loan next season.
Yan Couto will be joining Manchester City this summer following the club agreeing on a £5.4million fee with the Brazilian’s current employers Coritiba FC.
However, according to recent reports in the Athletic, Marcelo Bielsa’s side are interested in taking the 17-year-old right-back on loan next season.
In reaction to the reports, which were relayed by City Cheif on Twitter, many fans of Manchester City have rejected the idea, suggesting that Couto is a direct replacement for Joao Cancelo, and thus should not be allowed to leave the club on loan.

Cancelo might leave City, so I don’t see why City should loan him.

What do we think?
If reports are to be believed that Joao Cancelo is indeed leaving the club this summer, then it would appear unlikely for Pep Guardiola to loan his replacement out.
However, as the £3.6million-rated right-back is just 17-years-old and is yet to make a senior appearance for current club Coritiba, it would also seem unlikely for Guardiola to install him in City’s starting XI straight away.
As such, City fans will simply have to wait until Yan Couto’s arrival in the summer to see just exactly what Pep Guardiola intends to do with the young Brazilian.
