Fans of Manchester City have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports that the club are interested in signing Sandro Tonali this summer.
According to reports by Italian publication Corriere dello Sport (via Sport Witness), City have been made aware of Brescia’s €50million (£46.2million) valuation of the defensive midfielder, with the Italian club reportedly being ready for a ‘bidding war’ for their player this summer.
In reaction to the reports, which were relayed by Man City Xtra on Twitter, fans of the club have flocked to have their say on the potential transfer, with many suggesting that Tonali is exactly what City need, while others have stated their belief that the 19-year-old could be the next Andrea Pirlo.
Interest from Manchester City in Sandro Tonali (19) ‘isn’t a secret’.
Brescia had fixed an initial price of €50m, but were ‘confident’ that a ‘bidding war’ was going to break out between the interested parties, increasing the initial price.

It should be either him, Aouar or Van de Beek.. Foden will get more minutes next season but it would be wrong imo to not bring in another lad in midfield

What do we think?
Despite playing for Serie A’s bottom club Brescia, Sandro Tonali has enjoyed a fine season thus far.
The £31.5million-rated defensive midfielder, who still only 19 years old, has made 23 Serie A appearances for far this season, scoring one goal and providing five assists, while averaging a solid WhoScored match rating of 6.96.
As a result, the Italian international has reportedly caught the eye of Pep Guardiola, who will have a vacant position in midfield next season, with David Silva departing this summer.
