Fans of Manchester City have been reacting to a post by Gabriel Jesus, in which the 22-year-old tweeted images of him during City training on Monday.

Jesus, who arrived at Manchester City from Palmeiras in 2017, has been in fine form for the Citizens this season, scoring 10 goals in 23 Premier League appearances, as well as a further five goals in six Champions League games.

Although the Brazilian international has often been back up to star striker Sergio Aguero – Jesus has only started 48% of this season’s Premier League games – he has nevertheless returned a remarkable amount of goals for City in his three years at the club, with 63 in 137 appearances.

He has also won a vast amount of trophies his two-and-a-half seasons in Manchester, with two Premier League titles, one FA Cup, three League Cups and two Community Shields.

In reaction to the £63million-rated man’s recent post on Twitter, fans of Manchester City have been praising Jesus on his latest triumph, following the club’s 2-1 League Cup final victory over Aston Villa on Sunday.

What do we think?

Considering Gabriel Jesus has remained City’s second choice striker ever since his arrival in Manchester, it is surprising that no other clubs have shown any interest in the 22-year-old.

His return of goals in whatever competition he plays is remarkable, and Manchester City fans must worry that sooner or later he will demand to be the club’s first choice. If he is not granted that by Pep Guardiola, then his extremely bright future lay elsewhere than Manchester.
