Fans of Manchester City have been reacting to comments made by Ilkay Gündogan on Twitter, in which the 29-year-old discusses PSG’s Kylian Mbappé and Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho.

In response to a fan’s question on Twitter as to who Gündogan believes is a special player to watch, the German international replied stating that both PSG’s Kylian Mbappé and Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho were outstanding, in his opinion.

Fans took the opportunity to have their say on the matter, with many replying to the City midfielder’s tweet calling for the midfielder to use his sway to tempt both Mbappé and Sancho to the club.

Manchester City achieved what was then their best ever Premier League finish in the 2009/10 season. What position did they finish?

What do we think?

Both Mbappé and Sancho have been in remarkable form for their respective clubs this season, with the £180 million-rated Mbappé scoring 18 goals and providing seven assists in 20 Ligue 1 appearances, as well as a further five goals and five assists in his seven Champions League fixtures, while the £117 million-rated Sancho has 14 goals and 16 assists in the Bundesliga, in addition to another two goals and assists in the Champions League.

However, although it is clear that many City fans would like to see either of Mbappe or Sancho at their club in the near future, City’s two-year ban from European competition may be a large stumbling block in terms of securing either player.
