Fans of Manchester City have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports that Inter Milan are not willing to give the go-ahead for a swap deal between Joao Cancelo and Milan Skriniar.
According to recent reports by Calciomercato, Manchester City are increasingly keen on a player-swap deal regarding City’s right-back Joao Cancelo and Inter’s centre-back Milan Skriniar.
However, Inter boss Antonio Conte is reportedly not satisfied with the deal, as he rates the Inter defender higher than the £40.5 million-rated Cancelo.
In reaction to the reports, which were relayed by Man City Xtra on Twitter, some City fans have, somewhat surprisingly, agreed with Conte, suggesting that Cancelo was a poor signing by their club last summer, while others have stated their belief that Skriniar is the one who is overrated.
Inter Milan are not willing to give the go ahead for a swap deal between Joao Cancelo and Milan Skriniar, as they rate the Slovak much higher.
Cancelo is ‘highly appreciated’ by the Serie A club’s officials, however Antonio Conte is not a fan.

Cancelo + Otamendi should do the job

Me either, Antonio.

Safe to say we got robbed, going for cancelo never made any sense. We were supposed to replace Kompany and danilo was already there as a back up for walker. Now cancelo apparently isn’t happy because he can’t compete with walker and get more game time, one of pep’s magical moves

Worth a try but cancelo isn’t all that

Good neither are we

What do we think?
Although Cancelo has made just 11 Premier League appearances so far this season, according to WhoScored, he has performed impressively when he has played, averaging a match rating of 7.06.
Similarly, over the 25-year-old’s six Champions League fixtures he has also performed admirably, earning a match rating of 6.91.
As such, the overwhelming opinion that Cancelo has been a failure at City would appear a little surprising.
