Fans of Manchester City have been reacting to a post on Twitter, in which a City fan relays the news that Seasoncard payments will still be taken in April, despite there currently being no Premier League football.

In the post, a Manchester City fan shares screenshots of a conversation between him and the club, in which City state that they will “continue to operate as usual at this time” and will “take the final Direct Debit payment for Seasoncards in April.”

According to WhoScored, who is City's top Premier League goalscorer so far this season?

In reaction to the tweet, fans of the club have flocked to have their say on the matter, with many stating their belief that the club should be doing more to help fans in these uncertain times, while others have claimed that City’s dealing with the current situation is a primary reason as to why they will not be renewing their Seasoncard next term.

What do we think?

It certainly isn’t a good look for City to continue to charge fans while there is currently no football being played, in addition to the remaining uncertainty surrounding the conclusion of the Premier League season.

Even if/when the games are resumed, some fans situations could potentially have changed, meaning that they may not be able to attend the rearranged matches, while, in the event that the season is scrapped and the costs would be taken off of next season’s pricing for a Seasoncard, some fans may well have not wanted to renew for next term.
