Fans of Manchester City have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays information regarding the potential transfer of Jadon Sancho to Manchester United.
According to recent reports in Bild (via The Sun), should Jadon Sancho wish to leave Borussia Dortmund for Manchester United this summer, he will be free to – as long as United reach the German side’s asking price, which is thought to be of around £120 million.
Should that deal go ahead, City’s 15% sell-on clause installed when Sancho left the club for Dortmund in 2017 would see the club pocket £18m from a transfer of that sum.
In reaction to the reports, which were relayed by City Chief on Twitter, fans of the club have flocked to share their opinions on the matter, with many stating their belief that Sancho should not have been sold in the first place, while others have suggested that City should attempt to bring their former player back to the club.
Jadon Sancho is reportedly joining Man United for £120m.
City will earn £18m should the transfer go ahead. £26m from a player that couldn’t get on our bench.

This man bought Wilfred Bony over Dybala and you are praising him for selling a talent as big as Sancho who is now joining our biggest rivals

I fail to see how losing one of the best young talents in the world and only making £26m on it can be spun as a positive

Loool we shouldn’t be celebrating that we lost this guy just yet, if he flops at utd then we will rejoice.

Trust our executives chaps. Great player no doubt, but personality goes a long way. We dont need a dress room trouble maker.

What do we think?
As is apparent from their replies, City fans are not entirely happy at the idea of receiving £18million as part of a deal for one of Europe’s hottest talents, and it is easy to see why from his stats.
Sancho has been in remarkable form for Dortmund once again this term, scoring 14 goals and providing 16 assists in his 23 Bundesliga appearances, in addition to a further two goals and assists in eight Champions League fixtures.
As such, it is quite clear to see why City fans are so begrudged at their club for letting Sancho go.
