Fans of Manchester City have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which highlights a particular change in style for central defender Nicolas Otamendi.
In the footage, 32-year-old Otamendi takes clippers and a razor to his long-established beard, trimming his facial hair down before finishing off with a clean shave to give himself a fresh new look.
In reaction to the footage, which was posted by the official club account on Twitter, fans of the club have flocked to have their say on the centre-back’s new appearance, with many claiming that it takes years off the defender’s age, while others have stated their dislike at the change.
Take it we weren't the only ones who watched a man shave last night?
Looking fresh @Notamendi30!
Have you had the urge to change your style while staying home?

Now he’s a promising young defender. Just 18 years old again.

What do we think?
Although Otamendi’s new look appears to have pleased some City fans, the same may not have been entirely true regarding his performances so far this season.
The Argentina international has started just 54% of City’s Premier League games so far this season, averaging a WhoScored match rating of 6.77.
These stats will do nothing to help Otamendi should the player wish to remain at the club beyond this summer, with Pep Guardiola previously thought to be interested in bringing two new centre-backs to the club over the next transfer window.
