Fans of Manchester City have been reacting on social media to the news that their postponed fixture against Arsenal has been rescheduled for Wednesday 11th March.
Manchester City, who play Sheffield Wednesday in the FA Cup later tonight, head into the fixture fresh from their thrilling League Cup final defeat of Aston Villa, resulting in the club winning the tournament for a fifth time in the last seven years.
However, due to the Citizens’ involvement in the League Cup final, their Premier League clash with Arsenal required rescheduling, with the fixture being recently confirmed on the club’s official Twitter account to be played on Wednesday 11th March.
Fans of the club have been reacting on social media to the news, with many stating that the time and date of the fixture, as well as the short notice provided by the club, will cause problems for match-goers, and likely result in a poor attendance for the match.

The timing of the rearranged fixture would not appear to be favourable to Manchester City or indeed their fans.
With the FA Cup fixture against Sheffield Wednesday this evening, the Manchester derby on Sunday, the rearranged match against Arsenal next Wednesday before facing Burnley the following Saturday, City will have to play four games in 10 days, something that is not ideal before Guardiola’s side face Real Madrid in the second leg of their Champions League tie on 17th March.
