Liverpool fans on Twitter have taken aim at goalkeeper Adrian after his latest Twitter post.

This comes after the Spaniard shared a post on his official Twitter page quote-tweeting a post from the official Liverpool Twitter account of an inspirational video of a packed Anfield crowd singing the club’s anthem of ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’.

Adrian quoted this tweet with his own message of support calling the song a “world anthem” on his page.

Unfortunately, this post from the goalkeeper then gathered a lot of replies from Liverpool fans who took this post as an opportunity to slate Adrian and share their wishes for him to leave the Merseyside club.

Do you want Adrian to leave Liverpool?

Yes, get him out

Liverpool won the first of their six European cups in which season?

Whilst filling in for the injured Alisson, the 33-year-old has made critical errors for Jurgen Klopp’s side recently. Adrian was at fault for Willian’s goal in Liverpool’s 2-0 defeat to Chelsea in the FA Cup as well as in their 3-2 defeat to Atletico Madrid in the Champions League. Now that Adrian has come out and shared his message of support to Liverpool fans and the rest of his followers on Twitter, some Liverpool fans took the time to reply to Adrian’s post with their own unfavourable messages towards the ‘keeper.

What do we think?

It’s disappointing to see this sort of reaction from these Liverpool fans when all Adrian is trying to do is stay positive and send out his kind words on social media. Mistakes happen in football but there’s a time and place for certain criticisms.
