Liverpool fans on Twitter have been responding to the latest transfer update surrounding Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho.
This comes after Liverpool-focused Twitter account @LFCTransferRoom shared a post on their page relaying quotes made by Reds journalist James Pearce in a recent article for The Athletic.
Pearce claimed that the “Anfield hierarchy regard a price tag of around £120m as inflated” for the Englishman.
Would you want Liverpool to spend more than £100m on Sancho?
Yes, he's worth it
No, not that much
This post then gathered a lot of replies from Liverpool fans who were quick to share their thoughts on this latest development.
Here’s a sample of Liverpool fans responding to the post:
The appeal of Jadon Sancho is clear. Klopp’s admiration for the gifted winger, who turns 20 on Wednesday, is well known and his numbers are impressive. the Anfield hierarchy regard a pricetag of around £120M as inflated. [@JamesPearceLFC] pic.twitter.com/JVuP80FDzq

100% Sancho comes to us! He’s 20 and Mo is either going this summer or next and will be almost 30.

We’ve scrimped enough since 2018. Time to roll the dice here, Sancho has proven he can thrive at a high level

The former Manchester City man is currently valued at £117 million, making him the most valuable player in the Bundesliga and the ninth most valuable player in the world (per Transfermarkt). Now that it has been reported that Liverpool would be reluctant to shell out a large amount of money for Sancho, this news has gathered a lot of reaction on Twitter from several Reds supporters.

What do we think?
Given his current reported market value, any move for Sancho would likely see any club have to fork out a lot of money to secure his services. Whether or not the Merseyside club will be the ones to splash out on Sancho is still yet to be seen.
