The striker first joined the Merseyside club back in the 2013 January transfer window from Chelsea for a fee of £13.5 million (per Transfermarkt), during which Brendan Rodgers was in charge. Sturridge ended up making 160 appearances for the Reds, scoring 68 goals and providing 26 assists.
Now that this video of Sturridge’s 50 Premier League goals for the Reds has been doing the rounds on Twitter once again, this has given lots of Liverpool fans the opportunity to share their positive thoughts on their former striker.
Would love a prime Daniel Sturridge back in the squad. Had everything when he was at his best.

What do we think?
Unfortunately for Sturridge, injuries plagued his time at Liverpool resulting in him missing a lot of games throughout his period at Anfield. However, it’s great to see these Liverpool fans appreciating and recognising just what Sturridge did at the club with his 50 Premier League goals.
