Liverpool fans have flocked to Twitter to react to the latest revelation from former Reds winger Raheem Sterling.
This comes after Liverpool journalist Paul Gorst shared a post on his official Twitter page that included an article from the Liverpool Echo on Sterling’s comments on a possible return to the Merseyside club.
In a recent Q&A on Instagram for Colossal Sports Management, Sterling was asked if he would consider moving back to the club he left for Manchester City in 2015. In response, the Englishman revealed that he loves the club and that they will always be in his heart.
Gorst captioned his post claiming that some people “might need convincing” before Sterling were to return to Liverpool.
Would Raheem Sterling get into this Liverpool team ahead of Mane or Salah?
Yes
No
This post then gathered a number of replies from Liverpool fans who quickly shared their thoughts on the matter.
Here’s a sample of Liverpool fans responding to the post:
I think a few might need convincing if this was to ever happenhttps://t.co/zFRDmbz7Qx

No thanks, in fairness I think his agent was mostly to blame

The fella absolutely hates us and it’s obvious from the way he talks about us. On accepting his young player of the year award he literally said “no one wants to see Liverpool win the league” not just city but no one in the country. That isn’t a guy who loves the club in fairness

The winger is currently valued at £144 million, making him the most valuable player in the Premier League according to Transfermarkt. Now that Sterling’s comments on Liverpool have been doing the rounds on Twitter, this has given plenty of Liverpool fans the opportunity to share their thoughts on how much they don’t want to see the winger make a return to the Merseyside club.
This guy has absolutely no loyalty

I’m glad we sold him. His attitude and petulence on the pitch really annoy’s me. Sometimes he acts like a spoiled kid.

And his wage demand would be…????

What do we think?
Even though Sterling scored 23 goals and provided 25 assists in 129 appearances for Liverpool during his stint at Anfield, it appears that these Reds fans don’t see a way back for him.
