Liverpool have been without Jordan Henderson since their defeat to Atletico Madrid on 18th February. Since then, the 29-year-old has been sidelined with a hamstring injury and according to Transfermarkt.co.uk, he isn’t due to return until 13th March.
The Reds have lost three of their last four fixtures in all competitions and you could argue that Jurgen Klopp’s Premier League leaders have missed their captain’s influence. On Twitter, a Liverpool fan account has shared a compilation video highlighting some of Henderson’s most impressive contributions this season and called for the England international to be named the club’s player of the year.

Henderson’s average performance rating this season is 7.03/10 (via WhoScored.com), which highlights how consistent he has been throughout this campaign. Based on that, it’s difficult to make the case that Liverpool have not been affected by his absence but the debate regarding who should be named player of the year will rumble on.
