Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to discuss Manchester City star Raheem Sterling.
This comes after Reds journalist Dave O’Connell shared a post on his official Twitter page asking his followers if Sterling would get into the current Liverpool XI.
This post then gathered a lot of replies from Liverpool fans who were quick to answer O’Connell’s question.
Is Raheem Sterling a better footballer than Mane or Salah?
Yes
No
Here’s a sample of Liverpool fans discussing Sterling:
Boredom. Raheem Sterling had some positive comments to say about Liverpool yesterday. Put allegiances aside, would he make the Liverpool XI?

Be a good sub off the bench for any if the front 3 but wouldn’t start in my opinion.

No chance Sadio or Mo would be on the bench. Simple.

I think we have moved on. Raheem needs good players to provide him with chamces. Hes not a creator. And not a natural finisher.

In 129 appearances for the Reds, Sterling scored 23 goals and provided 25 assists before leaving for Manchester City in 2015. Since leaving the Merseyside club, Sterling has gone on to win two Premier League titles, four EFL trophies, one FA Cup and one Community Shield at City (per Transfermarkt). Now that the question has been asked to Liverpool fans on whether or not Sterling would currently get a starting place in Jurgen Klopp’s starting XI, many Reds fans have been sharing their views on the matter.
No. People complain about Mo Salah missing chances even though he has had the highest goals and assists… they would absolutely roast Sterling for his misses

He’s been in v poor form and lacks consistency. Looks a bit lighweight for the intensity Liverpool are playing at. Off the bench instead of Divock maybe.

no way

What do we think?
Even though Sterling has won numerous trophies at his current club, this hasn’t done anything for Liverpool fans to think he is good enough to earn a place in the current Liverpool team.
