Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to call for the club to sign Barcelona defender Junior Firpo.
This comes after Liverpool fan Twitter account @AnfieldEdition shared a post on their page relaying news originally published in a report by Spanish outlet Sport.
The report claims that Barcelona are “ready to sell” Firpo with the club “ready to accept £18m for the 23-year-old.”
The Liverpool page then captioned this post asking their followers if they would like to see the club make a move for Firpo for “competition at left-back.”

The 23-year-old, who is currently valued at £22.5 million according to Transfermarkt, first signed to Barcelona in the previous summer transfer window from fellow Spanish side Real Betis for a fee of £16.2 million (per Transfermarkt). The left-back, who has also played in the centre-half and left-midfield position for Barcelona has made just 17 appearances for the club so far this season (per Transfermarkt). Now that it has been reported that the Spanish giants could be looking to let go of Firpo in the next transfer window, this has given lots of Liverpool fans the opportunity to share their praise for the defender.
