Despite the current Premier League season having an air of uncertainty surrounding it with all professional football in England currently suspended, Liverpool fans received some incredible news this weekend.
According to 90Min via @AnfieldEdition, Virgil van Dijk and Alisson Becker are set to sign long-term contracts with Jurgen Klopp’s side. Van Dijk’s current contract is set to end in summer of 2023 while Alisson has a contract with the Reds until the summer of 2024.
When fans read this news they were thrilled. They admit that this is great for the team, with some indicating that they would like the duo to stay forever.
