Liverpool fans on Twitter have been criticising Dejan Lovren for his display after the Reds’ 3-0 defeat against Watford at the weekend.
Indeed, it appears as if lots of Liverpool fans haven’t taken kindly to the performance of Lovren.
Should Lovren have started against Watford?
Yes
No
Here’s a sample of Liverpool fans responding to the post:

The 30-year-old played the full 90 minutes of the match at Vicarage Road alongside fellow centre-half Virgil van Dijk, only for the match to result in the Reds’ first Premier League defeat of the season. Indeed, Lovren’s performance soon gathered a lot of other negative replies from Reds fans who were quick to turn on their defensive man.
Lovren has always been an absolute disgrace. Some mad lads on podcasts will insist you’re not allowed criticize him though.

What do we think?
It’s a shame that the Liverpool fans have specifically targeted Lovren for abuse after the Watford game. Yes, it was a poor result away from home but WhoScored claims that Lovren was the highest-rated Liverpool player on the pitch with a rating of 6.51. The best thing for Jurgen Klopp’s side to do now is to learn from their mistakes and move on to their next match and hopefully get back to winning ways.
