Liverpool’s Premier League rivals Leicester City have confirmed that three of their players are displaying symptoms of the coronavirus. The pandemic has crippled the world of sport with a number of events having been cancelled or taking place behind closed doors.
The Foxes are due to play Brighton and Hove Albion at the weekend whilst the Reds are not scheduled to take to the field until Monday night against Everton in the Merseyside derby. However, in light of this news and following the postponement of Manchester City versus Arsenal on Wednesday – these fans have had their say on what should happen after the BBC report was relayed on Twitter by @HotActionKop.
Should the Premier League be postponed?
Yes
No
This is a game changer James

Postponement of games for the next month or so is the smartest option. Of course it happens the year we’re winning

I don’t see how they can now. Looks inevitable the league will at least be postponed.

They can just give us the trophy now

What do we think?
As a result of the pandemic, Liverpool could be forced to wait slightly longer to be crowned champions of the Premier League. They’ve waited three decades already therefore in the interest of public safety another month won’t hurt.
As of Thursday afternoon, it was confirmed that the number of coronavirus cases in the United Kingdom had risen to 590 and a tenth patient had lost their life (via Sky News).
