After Liverpool crashed out of the FA Cup at Chelsea on Tuesday night, questions have been asked in regards to the quality of some of the team’s so-called fringe players.

Both Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah were left out of the starting line-up and replaced by Divock Origi and Takumi Minamino. However, the pair performed poorly and as a result, Jurgen Klopp was forced to turn to his more senior stars in a desperate attempt to keep his side in the competition.

Who holds the record of having scored the quickest goal in Premier League history?

What do we think?

According to The Athletic, Liverpool have until April to agree a £51m deal with RB Leipzig and Werner that would see the German move to Merseyside in the summer. The 23-year-old has scored 21 goals and provided seven assists in 24 Bundesliga appearances this season (via Transfermarkt.co.uk), and therefore, we believe he’d be an upgrade on those who currently provide cover to Firmino, Salah and Sadio Mane.
