What do we think?

It may be fair to say that Ndidi has played an important role this season for a Leicester side who currently sit in third place on the Premier League table. The Foxes midfielder has made an average of four tackles per game, in addition to 2.7 interceptions per game in the Premier League this season. The Nigerian midfielder has made more interceptions than any other Leicester City player this season, while he has also made more tackles than all but one other Foxes player this term.

Additionally, Ndidi has also played an average of 2.7 long balls per game in the 2019/20 Premier League season according to WhoScored.com, who have given him an average overall rating of 7.36 for his 23 Premier League appearances this season. This makes him The Foxes’ second-highest rated player for the 2019/20 Premier League campaign according to WhoScored.

Considering his impressive performances for the Foxes this term, it may be understandable why some Leicester fans have reacted negatively to the idea of the player leaving the club to join Barcelona in the summer.
