Some Leicester City fans have flocked to a tweet that was recently posted by the club’s official Twitter account which shares an image of ex-Foxes player Esteban Cambiasso, along with the words “the streets will never forget”.
Cambiasso, now 39-years-old and retired from professional football, spent the 2014/15 season at The King Power Stadium, having arrived on a free transfer in August 2014 after leaving Serie A side Inter.
Cambiasso scored five goals and made one assist in his 31 Premier League appearances for Leicester during the 2014/15 campaign, before leaving the club to join Olympiacos in August 2015.
While he spent just one season at The King Power stadium, some Leicester City fans have been sharing their gratitude for having had the chance to see the 2009/10 Champions League winner play in a Leicester City shirt. Meanwhile, a couple of Foxes supporters have called for the Argentinian to return to the club as a manager one day.

What do we think?
Cambiasso had led a successful career by the time he joined Leicester City in the summer of 2014. According to Transfermarkt.co.uk, he had won Spain’s La Liga in the 2002/03 season with Real Madrid, as well as the Italian Serie A on five separate occasions with Inter. Additionally, Cambiasso has got a 2009/10 Champions League medal in his list of honours, among others.
Cambiasso also made a total of 52 appearances for the Argentinian national team in his career. With all of that in mind, it may be fair to say that the ex-Foxes midfielder led an impressive career at the highest levels of the game prior to joining Leicester City. As a result, it may be understandable why some Foxes fans have been sharing their gratitude to have had the opportunity to see Cambiasso ply his trade at The King Power stadium, even if only for a solitary season.
