Some Leicester City fans have been sharing praise for ex-Foxes midfielder Muzzy Izzet on social media lately.
A tweet that was posted on Monday shared that it has been 24 years since Izzet made his Leicester debut, and recently caught the attention of some Leicester fans who have flocked to share their positive memories of the former Turkey international.
After originally joining The Foxes on loan in 1996, helping the club to achieve promotion to the Premier League “via the play-offs with one goal in nine outings” that season, Izzet signed for the Foxes permanently in the summer of 1996 for a fee of £1.08m, according to Transfermarkt.co.uk.
He remained a Leicester City player until July 2004 when he left the club to join Birmingham City on a free transfer, playing there for two years before retiring in July 2006.

What do we think?
According to Premierleague.com, Izzet has played a higher number of Premier League games than any other Leicester City player in history, having made 222 Premier League appearances for the Foxes. Additionally, only two players have scored a higher number of Premier League goals for the Foxes than Izzet did during his time at the club.
Considering his high number of Premier League appearances for the club, in addition to his impressive goalscoring record, it may be understandable why some Leicester fans have some positive memories of Izzet and his time at the club.
