Some Leicester City fans have flocked to a tweet that was recently posted by ex-Leicester forward Leonardo Ulloa, in which the 33-year-old Argentinian shares an image of himself as a character from The Simpsons, holding the Premier League trophy.

Ulloa’s recent tweet has caught the attention of some Foxes supporters who have been praising the 33-year-old in response, with some Leicester fans specifically commending the current Rayo Vallecano player’s contributions for the Foxes during their historic Premier League-winning campaign of 2015/16, which is referenced in Ulloa’s tweet.

To kick off this 1990s Premier League quiz, which season was the Premier League's inaugural campaign?

What do we think?

After arriving at The King Power Stadium in July 2014 for a transfer fee of £9.09m, Ulloa went on to score 20 goals in 102 appearances for the Foxes in all competitions. 13 of the Argentinian forward’s 20 Leicester City goals came in his first season with the club, in which the Foxes ultimately finished in 14th place, avoiding relegation by just six points the season before they historically won the league.

Ulloa was the Foxes’ top scorer in the 2014/15 Premier League season, helping the club to avoid relegation by scoring more than twice as many goals as any other Leicester player according to Transfermarkt.co.uk.

Ulloa subsequently contributed a total of six goals for the Foxes in the 2015/16 season, ending up as the club’s third-highest goalscorer in the season that they finished at the top of the Premier League table

It may be fair to say that Ulloa made significant contributions in front of goal for Leicester in both the 2014/15 and 2015/16 campaigns. As a result, it may be understandable why some Foxes supporters have been reacting with praise in response to the Argentinian attacker’s recent tweet.
