Some Leicester City fans have been sharing their admiration for the Foxes’ 26-year-old right-back, Ricardo Pereira, in response to a tweet that was recently posted by the Portuguese defender reacting to footage of his first Leicester City goal. 

Leicester City’s official Twitter account recently made a post sharing footage of a Periera goal which caught the attention of the 26-year-old Portuguese international himself, who shared the footage via a tweet of his own, in which the right-back fondly remembers the strike which he claims was his first for the Foxes. 

The footage of this goal sees Pereira originally pick up the ball inside his own half at the beginning of a Foxes counter-attack. After playing a one-two with Kelechi Iheanacho, Pereira can be seen using his impressive dribbling ability to create a one-on-one chance versus the opposition goalkeeper, who the right-back manages to drive the ball past.

It may be fair to say that the 26-year-old Portuguese international has been one of the Foxes’ best players this season. Pereira has earned an average overall rating of 7.50 from his 28 Premier League appearances this term, according to WhoScored.com. This makes him Leicester’s highest-rated player for the 2019/20 Premier League campaign according to WhoScored. 

Considering that he has delivered some impressive performances for the Foxes this term, it may be understandable why many Leicester fans have been sharing admiration for the 26-year-old right-back in response to his recent tweet fondly reminiscing on his first goal for the club.
