Some Everton fans have been reacting on social media to footage of loaned out attacker Sandro Ramírez’s recent goal for Real Valladolid.

Ramírez originally joined Everton from Málaga in the 2017 summer transfer window. According to Transfermarkt.co.uk, The Toffees paid a £5.4 million fee to bring the Spaniard to Merseyside.

The attacker, who is valued at £3.6 million (as per Transfermarkt), failed to make much of an impact during his time at Goodison Park. Ramírez made just 15 appearances in all competitions for Everton during the 2017/18 season, scoring just one goal and making just one assist, before being sent to Sevilla on-loan in the 2018 January transfer window, less than seven months after originally arriving at Goodison Park in July 2017.

Following his forgettable 2017/18 campaign, Ramírez has subsequently played just once more for The Toffees, featuring in a 2018/19 League Cup clash with Rotherham in August 2018 before leaving on-loan once more to join Real Sociedad for the 2018/19 season.

This season, the Everton outcast has been on-loan in Spain once more, this time plying his trade with Real Valladolid for the 2019/20 season. Ramírez recently scored Valladolid’s only goal in a 4-1 loss to Athletic Bilbao. The footage of this goal has gotten some Everton fans talking on social media. Read the reactions of some Toffees supporters to Ramírez’s recent goal in the tweets below.

Could Sandro Ramirez still come good?

Who was the Toffees' overall top scorer during the 2012/13 season?

What do we think?

Ramírez’s recent strike for Valladolid is his third La Liga goal of the 2019/20 season. The current season has seen Ramírez enjoy his most successful loan spell away from Goodison Park, having failed to score a single La Liga goal in either of his previous two loan spells to Spain with either Sevilla or Real Sociedad, according to WhoScored.com.

The Spanish attacker has struggled to set the world alight in any of his loan spells away from Goodison Park over the past three seasons. He has scored just four league goals in total since leaving Málaga, having previously scored 14 goals for Los Malaguistas in the 2016/17 campaign, according to WhoScored.

Given Ramírez’s lack of success since joining Everton, it may be understandable for some Toffees supporters to be losing faith in the 24-year-old’s ability, who is currently valued at £3.6 million by Transfermarkt.co.uk, which is £1.8 million less than the £5.4 million Everton paid for him in 2017.
