Fans of Everton have been waxing lyrical over Tim Cahill after the retired striker quote tweeted interview footage of himself.
On Tuesday, @ToffeeTVEFC shared footage of the Australian from an interview @CoachesVoice in which he stated that the hardest thing he ever did as a footballer was “to leave Everton”, which had fans gushing after the 40-year-old quote tweeted the post (per Tim Cahill).

The retired forward spent eight years at Goodison Park as a player, having arrived from Millwall in 2004 and departing for New York Red Bulls in 2012 (per Transfermarkt).
While with the Toffees, Cahill bagged a solid 68 goals and 29 assists in 276 appearances (per Transfermarkt), which has evidently gained him the adoration of many Everton fans.

As can be judged from the responses from Everton supporters, Cahill is still held in incredibly high regard in the blue half of Merseyside.
Having spent eight years as a Toffees player (per Transfermarkt), during which he was relatively prolific (per Transfermarkt), it is clear to see why fans feel the way they do.
