Fans of Everton have aired their fury after footage from the clash with Manchester United emerged on social media.
On Tuesday, footage which was originally posted by @ZEAndrewHD was shared to Everton supporters (via @TheGwladysStreet) which showed the Red Devils’ midfielder, Fred, barging into the referee.
Anger was then elicited as the Brazilian middleman was awarded a yellow card when Carlo Ancelotti has been charged with misconduct (as per Everton) after what was perceived to have been less than the player did.
Fred fronting the referee and pushing Tom Davies doesn’t amount to ‘improper conduct’ but Ancelotti having a word with the referee over an incorrect decision after the match does.?

Also Fred got away with almost taking Richies knee off in the first half, should have been sent off for his persistent fouls

Was Kavanagh correct, should both have been sent off, neither sent off or just Fred sent off?Kavanagh correctBoth sent offJust Fred sent offNeither sent off |
The 1-1 draw with the Manchester club has already caused a great amount of fury amongst supporters after Dominic Calvert-Lewin had a late goal chalked off for offside by VAR (via Liverpool Echo).
However, with news of their 60-year-old gaffer’s charge of misconduct being revealed on Monday (per Everton), fans perceived there to have been one rule for United and one for the Toffees.
Maybe Ancelotti should have invaded the pitch before the end of the game. That’s ok apparently. pic.twitter.com/d25MTmLtsq

What do we think?
As can be judged from the responses, the match seems to have caused quite the stir amongst Everton supporters and is continuing to do so.
With Ancelotti having insisted that he ‘did not disrespect’ the referee, Chris Kavanagh, though (per BBC), perhaps there is a good reason for Everton supporters to feel aggrieved.
