On Monday, @TheGwladysStreet posted to Twitter to question supporters over what they thought about the 25-year-old after relaying the club’s record with and without Mina since Marco Silva’s sacking, which had some fans supporting him.

I think it’s more the partnership with Holgate that gels well rather than the individuals.

Be sound with a proper box to box and a right back who knows how to defend

Do you believe that Yerry Mina is a good enough defender for the Toffees?Yes, he's a solid playerNo, needs to improve |
Over the duration of the season, Mina has been the Toffees’ fifth-best performer with a solid 6.85/10 average rating (per WhoScored).
However, the Colombian has made only the tenth-most tackles per league game on average for Everton (per WhoScored), leaving some supporters unconvinced.
Most overrated player at the club by our own fans. Will never ever be good enough to be at the heart of a defence competing where we want be competing.

He has improved a lot but I always feel a mistake or rash decision is coming

What do we think?
As can be seen in the responses from Everton fans, it seems quite clear that supporters are a little divided over the abilities of the 25-year-old defender.
With only 1.5 tackles and one interception per Premier League game on average, which is dwarfed by Djibril Sidibe’s averages of 3.7 tackles and 1.8 interceptions in the league (per WhoScored), it seems that Mina may be a little bit defensively suspect.
