Crystal Palace fans were handed some positive news this week when it was announced that Bromley Council has granted the club planning permission for their academy redevelopment plans.
The club’s plans should help them earn Category One status for their academy, which, in theory, should help them rival the biggest London clubs in terms of attracting the best youth talent, as per the Evening Standard.
The club announced this brilliant news on Twitter, much to the pleasure of Eagles fans. They are thrilled to hear some great news in the midst of a period with no football to keep them entertained.
Here is a sample of some fan reactions.

Will Crystal Palace find the next Jadon Sancho?
Yes
No
What do we think?
There have been some top talents from south London to emerge onto the scene of world football in recent years. Chelsea’s Callum Hudson-Odoi and Tammy Abraham and Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho are just a few of the players who originated from this area.
The development of Crystal Palace’s new academy centre could be the difference-maker for the Eagles as they hope to find the next top talent from this area of England.
