This past weekend Crystal Palace posted highlights of a past match against Liverpool in their #YourCPFCMatchday throwback series on Twitter.

However, it wasn’t just Palace fans that enjoyed the footage. Ex-Eagle Yannick Bolasie re-tweeted the footage, indicating that there were many smiles surrounding Selhurst Park that night.

The 30-year-old made the move from Palace to Everton in the summer of 2016 for a whopping £26.01 million. Considering the Eagles only purchased Bolasie for £597,000 in the summer of 2012 from Bristol City, they made an incredible profit on the player.

However, fans are eager to see the player return to Selhurst Park one more time before he retires. After sending out his tweet, the supporters called for him to come home.

Here are a few of the responses.

What do we think?

Despite playing for Sporting CP right now, Bolasie is still an Everton player. Since making the move to Everton, he has completed loan deals with RSC Anderlecht and Aston Villa as well.

Bolasie’s loan with Sporting is set to end in the summer, however, they have an option to buy. Should they activate that clause, the Palace fans may be robbed of their opportunity to see Bolasie pull on a Palace shirt one last time.
