This week Crystal Palace fans responded to rumours that Rafael Santos Borre could be on his way from River Plate to Selhurst Park in the summer.
According to El Intransigente (per HITC Sport), via @CPFC_NEWS_HQ, the player has a £25 million release clause.
When fans heard this news, they weren’t confident that they would be able to snag the player. They have little faith in their club’s ability to secure transfers.
Will Crystal Palace sign Rafael Santos Borre?
No chance

Yes they will

One fan suggested that West Ham would swoop in and steal the player at the last second, much like how they hijacked Palace’s attempt to sign Jarrod Bowen in January.
He’s off to West Ham then ?

If “interested” means ‘yes we’re aware he exists and probably wouldn’t say no if he was free but will probably end up at West Ham or someone similar’ then yes, we’re “interested”

I’m interested in being able to go outside freely and sit in a pub beer garden with a pint and a packet of Nobby’s Nuts but we don’t always get what we want. https://t.co/z6sqgY75iY

One fan admits that he doesn’t know who the player is. Another says that the player looks good in FIFA 20.

What do we think?
The Colombian has featured in 20 Superliga matches this season, averaging a performance rating of 7.1/10 according to WhoScored.
The forward has scored 12 goals in these appearances, recording an assist in the process.
We can see why these Crystal Palace fans would be eager to see their side snag this player, despite having little faith in their club’s ability to do so.
