This week Golsmedia reported that Crystal Palace’s Vicente Guaita is one of Valencia’s targets, as the Spanish side’s sporting director looks for a new goalkeeper.
Apparently, Manchester City are also monitoring his availability. This news was shared in a Twitter post published by @CPFC_NEWS_HQ.
Guaita has been very good for Palace this year, earning an average rating of 6.82/10 for his Premier League performances, according to WhoScored. He has also played the third-highest number of minutes this season, behind James McArthur and Wilfried Zaha.

In December, the Spaniard collected his second Player of the Month award this season. It is obvious that Guaita has been a vital part of Crystal Palace’s setup this season.
When fans heard that teams like Valencia and Manchester City were showing interest, they weren’t too happy. They would like to see the club lock him down for the foreseeable future, admitting that they think the goalkeeper would want to stay as well.

What do we think?
It is obvious that these fans want Guaita to stay in south London. Hopefully, for their sakes, they will see the Spaniard stay at Selhurst Park for many more seasons to come.
