Crystal Palace have reportedly sent scouts to watch Spezia defender Martin Erlic. This was made known to some Palace fans on Twitter via @CPFC_NEWS_HQ.
When Eagles fans were made aware of this news, there were some that were left slightly underwhelmed. They aren’t impressed by Erlic, with the Serie B player only playing 1,122 minutes of football so far this season. One fan even referenced the player’s FIFA 20 ratings, where the Croatian’s statistics leave much to be desired.
Brilliant a 61 rated bronze CB with 45 pace ?

Other fans question how the scouts plan on assessing the player with Serie B currently postponed because of the recent global pandemic. One fan suggests they will be assessing the player’s talents by watching him play FIFA through his window, while some simply did not believe the reports.
Sending scouts to watch a player who won’t play as all the games are postponed? I don’t think so..

Where are we watching him, through his bedroom window from a great distance?

Sent scouts to watch him play FIFA 2020?

Do you believe that the club have been scouting Erlic?
Yes
No
What do we think?
It appears, however, that @CPFC_NEWS_HQ’s tweet was a little late to the party. According to Italian website Serie B News, via Sports Witness, the club sent scouts to watch the player in mid-to-late February. However, while the news could be completely factual, these fans still appear to have little interest in the player’s availability.
