Aston Villa fans have been slating Pepe Reina on Twitter after footage of his error in the 4-0 thrashing against Leicester City on Monday emerged.
This comes after Villa fan Twitter account @villareport shared a post on their page that included a video clip originally posted by @SkySportsPL of Reina’s error that led to Leicester’s opening goal in the defeat.
Who should play in net for Villa's next game?
Pepe Reina
Orjan Nyland
This post then gathered a lot of replies from Villa fans who were not happy with what they saw from the Spaniard.

It’s embarrassing.

The footage shows the former Liverpool man rushing way off his line to gather a long ball from Leicester to Harvey Barnes who then managed to slip past Reina and fire a shot at goal that put the home side ahead in the first half. Dean Smith’s team then conceded three more goals in the second half to end a miserable night at the King Power Stadium for the Birmingham club (per BBC Sport). After the match, as this footage started to make the rounds on Twitter, this then opened the door for lots of Villa fans to share their thoughts on the error from Reina.
Just criminal.

What do we think?
It’s a poor mistake from Reina coming so far off his line without clearing the ball away. Seeing as this defeat has landed Villa in the relegation zone, it’s understandable why these fans arent too impressed with their January loan signing.
