Aston Villa fans have flocked to Twitter to slam the latest comments made by former Villan Joleon Lescott.
This comes after Villa fan Twitter page @villareport shared a post on their page that contained a video of Lescott speaking on Sky Sports’ The Debate, which was originally posted by @SkySportsPL explaining a tweet the Englishman posted back in 2016 when he was a Villa player.
The tweet in question came shortly after Villa were thrashed 6-0 by Liverpool back in February 2016. After the match, Lescott shared a picture of a Mercedes car on his Twitter page. As many Villa fans started to take offence to Lescott’s post, he claimed that he accidentally posted the image when his phone was in his pocket (per BBC Sport).
Do you believe Lescott's story?
Yes
No
Now that this footage has surfaced on Twitter of the defender explaining the matter further, many Villa fans still don’t believe his story.
Here’s a sample of Villa fans responding to the post:

I didn’t think I could hate him anymore until I saw him smiling/laughing when explaining this

Would have been better off just apologising and saying yep big mistake rather than say accidentally went off in my pocket, so the phone magically unlocked went to the gallery and clicked share with twitter.

Lescott has now claimed that he was helping another player buying a car at the time, while still sticking with his original story of his phone going off in his pocket and accidentally sharing the image of the car in question. This latest revelation from Lescott then led to lots of Villa fans to share their thoughts on their former man, with many still unconvinced by his story.
Absolutely pathetic.

Guy’s a joke

Why be stubborn and leave the image up? Unprofessional behaviour to the maximum, I doubt he was ever a villa fan after seeing this.

What do we think?
It’s up to the Villa fans whether they want to believe Lescott is telling the truth or not. But looking at these replies, it appears that these Villa fans still don’t think too highly of the Englishman.
