Aston Villa fans have flocked to Twitter to react to recently emerged footage of midfielder Douglas Luiz.
This comes after the official Villa Twitter account shared a post on their page that included a video originally posted on Luiz’s Instagram story, of the Brazilian taking part in the ‘Stay at Home Challenge’ and performing numerous kick-ups with a roll of toilet paper.
Has Douglas Luiz flopped this season?
Yes, he's been awful
No, but he needs to improve
Unfortunately for Luiz, this post then gathered a lot of replies from Villa fans who were eager to share their thoughts on this latest footage, with many slating the midfield man.
Here’s a sample of Villa fans responding to the post:

Should try and keep the ball as well as he does the bog roll next time we play ??

What a pity he doesn’t use his skills on the pitch.

The 21-year-old, who is currently valued at £18 million according to Transfermarkt, has had a fairly disappointing first season at the club since signing from Manchester City in the previous summer transfer window, picking up a season rating score of 6.56/10, making him the 15th-highest rated player in the Villa squad (per WhoScored). Now that the club has posted this video footage of Luiz showing his skills with a toilet roll, this has given numerous Villa fans the opportunity to criticise their midfield man.
I’m sure he meant to pass to the plant not the tv ??

What do we think?
It seems a bit harsh of these Villa fans to take aim at Luiz when he is just trying to have a little bit of fun on social media. But his season rating does appear to suggest that he has room for improvement in his overall game.
