In just five appearances for Dean Smith’s side, Samatta has managed to score two goals for his new side after signing from KRC Genk in the January transfer window (per Transfermarkt). Now that the 27-year-old has posted the goal he scored in Villa’s 2-1 defeat to Pep Guardiola’s side in the recent Carabao Cup final, many Villa fans have been sharing their praise for the striker for his short time at the club so far.
Brilliant. You’ve written history ??

What do we think?
To already have a couple of goals under his belt since joining Villa, Samatta seems to have settled into the team quite well. The response to his post from the Villa fans shows that they have been impressed with what the striker has offered the team in his five appearances. The hope for the Villa fans would be that Samatta can continue to find the back of the net as the club looks to avoid relegation back to the Championship.
