Aston Villa fans have taken to Twitter to respond to the latest reported transfer update surrounding winger Trezeguet.
This comes after Villa news Twitter account @AVFC_News shared a post on their page that included an article from the Birmingham Mail who cite reports in Turkey (Sabah via Aksam) that Besiktas have agreed a deal to sign the Egyptian from Villa this summer.
Will Villa miss Trezeguet?

We have championship level wingers which has been another thorn in our side. Hopefully they are silly enough to pay a nice fee for him.

In his debut season at Villa since signing from Kasimpasa in the previous summer transfer window, the 25-year-old has only managed to score four goals and provide three goals in 31 appearances for the Birmingham club. Trezeguet’s last goal for the club came back in January in Villa’s last-gasp 2-1 win over Leicester City in the Carabao Cup semi-final. Now that news has emerged that Trezeguet is a step closer to the exit at Villa Park for a move back to Turkey this summer, this has given lots of Villa fans the opportunity to share their joy over his potential departure.
Fine. He’d be alright in the championship but he’s not pulling up trees in this league at the moment.

Bigger disappointment than Wesley for me! I expected pace and quality but rarely showed either!

Apart from that semi final goal he may as well have not been here all this season.

What do we think?
It seems from these replies that Trezeguet would not be missed at Villa Park by these Villa supporters. Given his poor goals and assists record so far this season, it’s understandable why they would think that way.
