Aston Villa fans have been responding on Twitter to the latest reported update surrounding the future of Danny Drinkwater at Villa Park.
This comes after Villa fan account @villareport shared a post on their Twitter page relaying news originally published by Sky Sports that a “decision is set to be made over the coming days” concerning the midfielder’s future at the club.
Should Danny Drinkwater's contract at Villa be terminated?
Yes
No
This all comes after the Englishman was reportedly involved in a training ground bust-up with Villa teammate Jota earlier in the week.
This latest update then gathered a lot of replies from Villa fans who were quick to share their thoughts on the situation.

He should be allowed to travel with the team to Chelsea, just not on the return journey…

Since arriving at the Birmingham club, Drinkwater has yet to make a positive impact at the club, with his four club appearances resulting in him being given a current rating of 5.74, making him currently the second-lowest rated player in the squad (per WhoScored). Now that it has been revealed that a decision will be made soon over his future at the club, this has paved the way for lots of Villa fans to share their thoughts on what should happen to Drinkwater.
Get rid. Zero point in keeping the bloke. He is terrible on and off the pitch. Chelsea’s Ross McCormack!

Get rid need passionate players not confrontational ones

Get him out

This issue highlights our problem this season, we are dragging our feet rather than being decisive. Surely Smith and the coaching team witnessed the incident? Get rid, save £60k a week and put it towards clean sheet bonuses for our remaining games

What do we think?
Things seem to have gone from bad to worse for Drinkwater at Villa, with some poor performances in his first few appearances to now having his future at the club in doubt after just two months at Villa Park. It seems that from these replies, not many Villa fans would be too disappointed if Drinkwater were to leave the club.
