Aston Villa fans on Twitter have been sharing their praise for Manchester City youngster Phil Foden after his performance in the Carabao Cup final.
This comes after Villa fan Twitter account @VillaViews_ shared a post on their page calling Foden’s performance in the final as “brilliant” on Sunday.

According to WhoScored, the 19-year-old was given the highest match rating of any player on the pitch with 7.95/10 with a pass success percentage of 90.2%. The teenager is currently valued at £27 million according to Transfermarkt after scoring 10 goals and providing 10 assists in his 61 appearances in City’s senior squad. After the final had ended, many Villa fans took the time to share their admiration for Foden and his display in the match which ended 2-1 to Pep Guardiola’s side.

It’s great to see so many Villa fans taking the time out to praise Foden on what was a great performance from the teenager in the final. If Foden can continue to put in these type of performances when he gets the chance, he could become a crucial player for the Manchester club and England.
