The footage showed Nakamba rushing towards the ball as Aguero was chasing it in the middle of the pitch to then have it taken away from him through a lunging challenge from the Villa man. Despite clearly winning the ball, Nakamba was yellow-carded for his tackle as he went through Aguero in the process. As the footage emerged on Twitter, this gave lots of Villa fans the opportunity to share their admiration for Nakamba and his strong challenge on Aguero.
Marvellous was just that yesterday cracking tackle ?

He played like a good old midfielder, breaking play up and tackling, reminded me of a young Delph. Keep it up Nakamba

Refs always protect the high profile players. Great tackle

What do we think?
While he did win the ball, Nakamba’s actions could have been judged as reckless, which could have been the deciding factor in the referee’s decision to brandish the yellow card to the midfielder. But it comes as no surprise that these Villa fans were impressed with Nakamba’s tackle as it showed his hunger and desire to win the ball back for his team.
