Aston Villa fans have been responding on Twitter to the latest reports on former Villa striker Tammy Abraham.
This comes after Villa news Twitter account @AVFC_News shared a post on their official page that included an article from the Birmingham Mail who claim that Abraham has turned down a contract offer from current club Chelsea.
Would Tammy Abraham leave Chelsea for Villa?
Yes
No
This post then gathered a lot of replies from Villa fans who were keen to share their thoughts on a potential Villa Park return for the Englishman.
Here’s a sample of Villa fans responding to the post:
One to potentially keep an eye on in the summer – Chelsea still haven't come to an agreement.#AVFC https://t.co/SYt6cvMMSW

He isn’t leaving Chelsea for anybody who isn’t a CL club. The guy has a high opinion of his own abilities and believes he belongs at the top. Which is no bad thing

We’ve no chance !

That ship sailed, he helped us massively and will always always be welcome whatever shirt he wears but it’s unlikely ever to be a claret and blue top again.

The 22-year-old, who is currently valued at £45 million according to Transfermarkt, spent the 2018/19 season on a loan deal at the Birmingham club where he managed to score 26 goals in 41 appearances for the club (per Transfermarkt). Now that it has been reported that Abraham has rejected a contract offer from Chelsea and therefore suggested that he could move away from the club in the summer, these Villa fans have taken the opportunity to share their thoughts on the situation.
Probably wants the same wages as giroud. Can’t blame him

We’d love to see him come back, but he hasn’t agreed terms with Chelsea cos his extortionate wage demands are too high..!

He will just be negotiating it, he will want more money that’s all

What do we think?
Given that Abraham scored so many goals during his season at Villa, it would be easy to assume that the club would snap at the chance to take the striker back at the club. However, based on these replies, it would appear that not many Villa fans are confident this move would be an option this summer.
