Aston Villa fans have been discussing Jack Grealish’s performance against Manchester City in Sunday’s Carabao Cup final.
This comes after Villa fan Twitter account @VillaViews_ shared a post on their page claiming there was “something strange” about the Englishman’s performance in the match at Wembley that ended 2-1 to Pep Guardiola’s side.
Did Jack Grealish have his worst game of the season on Sunday?
Yes
No
This post then gathered a lot of replies from Villa fans who were eager to have their say on what they saw from Grealish.

After his display in the final, the Villa captain was given a match rating of 6.1, the joint lowest of any Villa player that started the game (per WhoScored). After the match had ended and Pep Guardiola’s side were crowned victorious, plenty of Villa fans turned their attention to the poor performance from Grealish on Twitter.
He definitely pulled up, and any break in play he was stretching it out, such a shame as he didn’t get involved at all after that, hopefully he’s fit for the run in

Played long more often than usual today, which meant he also didn’t see as much of the ball while playing in the middle.

He was marked out of the game

What do we think?
It’s no surprise that these Villa fans have picked up on Grealish’s poor performance in Sunday’s final, especially since he has been Villa’s top performer so far this season. With a current season rating of 7.39 (per WhoScored), the hope for Grealish, Dean Smith and the Villa fans now would be that the cup final was just a one-off and chalked down as a bad day at the office for the Villa captain.
