At what date do the EFL intend to resume matches after temporarily suspending games due to the viral outbreak?

The former Leeds defender believes that this is because ‘there isn’t a great deal of English holding midfield players at the moment in good form.’

Mills also reckons that the 24-year-old ‘will be playing Premier League football next season’ and that he ‘has been the best player in the Championship by far.’

Who has a better chance of making the England squad?

Ben White

The 42-year-old, therefore, ‘cannot see him not being in the squad for 2021.’

Mills thinks that Phillips will replace Declan Rice in the squad, and he also believes that the 24-year-old’s current teammate Ben White will also be in the England team for Euro 2021.

Here’s what he said in full:

“I think everybody appreciates that Kalvin Phillips is not a million miles away and he might have been getting a call up.

“There isn’t a great deal of English holding midfield players at the moment in good form.

“Kalvin will be playing Premier League football next season, he has been the best player in the Championship by far so after a season in the Premier League I think he will be in the England squad.

“He might have even been in it this season with the way things are going.

“I think the Euros were possibly a little bit too early for him but after another season I cannot see him not being in the squad in 2021.”

What do we think?

Phillips has averaged a rating of 7.2 this season, and he has been monitored by the likes of Manchester United.

So, it will be interesting to see if England do indeed come calling for the 24-year-old’s services.
