Alex Bruce has told Football Insider that he believes that Ben White’s transfer value will be going up with each passing week that the 22-year-old plays in midfield.

The former Hull City defender claims that he has been impressed by the on-loan Brighton man no matter what position he plays.

At what date do the EFL intend to resume matches after temporarily suspending games due to the viral outbreak?

White has found himself in the defensive midfield position on the odd occasion.

Bruce gushed over the performances of White and has claimed that he was ‘very impressed’ by the 22-year-old.

Do you think Leeds have a chance of signing Ben White?

Yes

No

No

The son of Newcastle United boss Steve thinks that the fact that White can step into midfield is something that will add value to the on-loan Brighton man.

Here’s exactly what he had to say:

“I actually watched him in central midfield the other week and I was very impressed. He was very composed on the ball and the fact that he can step into midfield and add another string to his bow is something that will only add value to him as well. It’s a similar situation to Jack Harrison.”

What do we think?

Since joining on loan from the Seagulls, White has played every league game for Marcelo Bielsa’s men and earned himself an average rating of 7.05 from WhoScored.

He has also reportedly attracted the attention of the likes of Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea, and if Leeds are to be promoted, we think that they will face a fight to keep White at Elland Road beyond the end of this season.

White, who is valued at £6.3m by Transfermarkt, has made, on average, 1.7 tackles per game, completed 2.3 interceptions per match, and won 2.8 aerial duels.

With the league currently suspended due to a viral outbreak, it is unclear when the Whites will see the 22-year-old again, but when they do, we think they will hope he can pick up where he left off.

In our opinion, White’s future is in the Premier League, but will he be with Leeds or with someone else?
