West Bromwich Albion captain Jake Livermore led his side to a 2-0 victory over Luton Town at the weekend to ensure the Baggies returned to the top of the Championship. Leeds United had previously overtaken Slaven Bilic’s team but when they slipped up at home to Wigan Athletic, the West-Midlands club were able to wrestle back control of the division.
Albion’s official Twitter account shared a clip of a moment in the game when Livermore stepped out of his position to close an opposition player down on the touchline and then lambasted his teammate Matt Phillips for not doing it himself.
Have you been impressed with Jake Livermore this season?
Yes
No
The fans absolutely loved it and made their feelings known on social media.
Whatever you say about Jake you can’t fault his commitment. Everything I’d want in a leader and a West Brom player

What do we think?
Jake Livermore signed for West Brom in 2017 for £10.35m (via Transfermarkt.co.uk) and has made 122 appearances for the club to date. Now the captain, the 30-year-old plays a vital role in Slaven Bilic’s midfield having started in 97% of their Championship games this season.
