Many West Brom fans have declared their desire to see the Baggies sign Filip Krovinovic and Matheus Periera on a permanent deal.
Albion have been the Championship’s most prolific side in front of goal this season. The Baggies have scored 57 goals this season which is at least four goals more than the Championship’s second-highest scoring team. A large part of the credit for West Brom’s impressive attack this season can be attributed to the efforts of the technically impressive duo of Krovinovic and Pereira.
Pereira has been a hub of creativity for West Brom this season. The attacking midfielder has contributed six goals and 11 assists to West Brom’s Championship campaign thus far. Krovinovic has also made four goal contributions to The Hawthorns outfit’s Championship campaign, in addition to playing a respectable 1.1 key passes per game, according to WhoScored.
Both of these creators contributed to goals in West Brom’s midweek 2-1 win over Reading. Going behind early on, Pereira scored an equalising goal in the 26th minute of Wednesday’s game. Krovinovic went on to assist centre-back, Kyle Bartley, for the winner in the 49th minute.
The impressive performances of the on-loan duo have lead to calls from many West Brom fans for the club to sign the pair permanently. Read some of the messages of admiration from some of the fans for the duo in the tweets below.

What do we think?
Krovinovic and, in particular Pereira, have evidently made a positive impact for West Brom this season. The Brazilian’s 11 Championship assists thus far rank him as the second-highest assist maker in the division this season, according to WhoScored.com.
According to Transfermarkt.co.uk, Benfica man Krovinovic is currently valued at £4.5 million, while the Baggies will activate a clause in Pereira’s contract that allows them to complete his permanent signing from Sporting CP for £8.25 million, once he makes a total of 30 appearances of 45 minutes or more for the club. As a result, West Brom fans may not have to wait too much longer to secure his services permanently.
It may be a foolish move from West Brom not to permanently sign both of these two creators who have played an important role in their impressive 2019/20 Championship campaign. Should West Brom achieve promotion, Benfica may ask for a sizeable fee for Krovinovic’s signature, however, if he continues to play as he currently has been it may be worth it for the Baggies.
